从小就生活在不幸中的幸江（中谷美纪 饰），亚洲结婚后依然过着苦情女的生活，亚洲丈夫（阿部宽 饰）不仅没有工作、嗜酒豪赌成性，还经常对她粗鲁相待，但幸江始终死心塌地地坚守在丈夫身边，不管看不下去的邻居劝她离婚，也不管有钱店主的求爱，在她看来，只要和丈夫在一起就是人生最大的幸福。直到有一天，刑满出狱的父亲（西田敏行 是）出现在幸江面前，生活开始发生变化。
