故事发生在上世纪六十年代，亚洲刘沛(于滨饰)是一个年轻的画家，亚洲一幅作品让他成为了当时批判的对象，当所有人都远离他时，只有贾如云(曹曦文饰)一直陪在他身边默默的照顾他，并不顾别人的眼光嫁给他，最终两人经历重重困难相互扶持携手一生。故事跨度半个世纪，展现了新疆各族民众之间无法割舍的情感维系，以及改革开放以来新疆发生翻天覆地的沧桑巨变。
