故事发生在抗日战争时期，横滨杭州湾地区新四军建立红色通道并由此组织人员在浙东地区进行敌后游击战。杨来西年纪虽小但是灵巧机敏，横滨作为侦通班的战士屡次打探到重要敌情，帮助浙东人民打击日伪军。

When he sees a ladder PINGU has the perfect solution and climbs up an iceberg from where he is able to see all the hiding places. But the tables are turned when the others remove the ladder and PINGU is left stranded on his vantage point.
