白眉道人（罗烈 饰）表面看来是名门正派，午夜实际上和朝廷暗中勾结，午夜沦为其爪牙，专门为其铲除异己。在放火将少林寺烧毁于一旦后，白眉道人并未善罢甘休，而是继续大开杀戒，洪熙官（陈观泰 饰）幸运的逃过一劫，过着东躲西藏的日子，之后邂逅了名为方咏春（李丽丽 饰）的侠女，两人互生情愫，结为夫妇。不久之后，洪熙官和方咏春的儿子洪文定（汪禹 饰）呱呱坠地，在夫妇两人的栽培下茁壮成长。不幸的是，白眉道人最终还是觅得了洪熙官的踪迹，后者惨死在他手下。悲愤的洪文定开始苦练虎形拳和鹤形拳，并将两种招式合二为一练就虎鹤双形拳，希望能够替父亲报仇。
