早在1968年12月10日，年全在日本东京都府中发生了骇人听闻的“三亿日元抢劫案”，年全全国出动了十七万名警员介入调查此案件，却依然未能够将其破解。随着时间的推移，诉讼时效早已经过去，这也就意味着，这宗震惊全国的案件的犯人，将永久的逃脱法网。时间一晃眼来到了2009年，鸣海大和（福士苍汰 饰）是生活在长崎的一名平凡高中少年，某日，他和青梅竹马小田切未来（芳根京子 饰）意外的发现了残留在墙上的血迹，并且循着血迹找到了行将就木的老人东海林明。让鸣海大和没有想到的是，东海林明的遗言竟然是指证自己的父亲为当年三亿日元抢劫案的案犯，与此同时，鸣海大和的父亲亦无故失踪，留给鸣海大和的，是一连串扑朔迷离的未解之谜。
