回复 :故事发生在二十世纪三十年代的福建闽南。高家公子高耀宗（吴磊 饰）自幼桀傲不驯且又体弱多病，长工阿福（毕远晋 饰）因看管仓库不善引发火灾，不得已将自已十七岁的闺女秋菊（张玉嬿 饰）嫁给年仅八岁的耀宗做媳妇，当地人俗称“娘妻”。穷人家出身的秋菊娴淑善良，自嫁到高家后没有享受到爱却饱受欺凌，整天伺候年幼的丈夫，小心翼翼、勤俭持家。几年后，高家遭人算计家中落败，逐渐长大的高耀宗（刘恺威 饰）后来爱上了别人，但坚韧的秋菊一如继往地担负着家庭的重抯。耀宗后来去了台湾，秋菊一人支撑着家业，为和家人团圆，她踏上了赴台寻亲的道路......
