1937年，亚洲日军入侵南京，亚洲战火中，六朝古都化为废墟，众多中国军民被困城中。一支十数人的国军德械教导队余部在长官李教官（佟大为 饰）指挥下，从日军手中救出了一批教会学校女学生，而李教官等人，至此丧失了出城的机会。幸免于难的书娟（张歆怡 饰）等学生返回文彻斯特教堂，随她们一 起来到的，还有受雇远道至此收敛神父遗体的美国人约翰·米勒（克里斯蒂安·贝尔 Christian Bale 饰）。此时的南京城中，逃难的人们蜂拥进安全区和教堂寻找庇护，十四名风尘女子强行进入教堂避难，其中精通英语的玉墨（倪妮 饰）希望借助约翰的身份为一行人提供更多保护。教堂的墙壁，并不能阻挡日军的铁蹄，教堂内的人们，将面临孰生孰死的选择……

回复 :故事发生在六十年代的美国，勒维恩（奥斯卡·伊萨克 Oscar Isaac 饰）是一位名不见经传的民谣歌手，生活困顿的他无家可归亦没有固定的工作，每晚得靠朋友们的救济才得以寻得安身之处。可是，尽管陷入了窘境，但固执的勒维恩却不愿意了顺应大众的喜好而做出无奈的改变，也正因为此，他和交往多年的好友简（凯瑞·穆丽根 Carey Mulligan 饰）和吉姆（贾斯汀·丁伯莱克 Justin Timberlake 饰）之间的关系也跌落到了冰点，更让勒维恩感到烦心的是，简的腹中竟然怀上了自己的孩子。之后，勒维恩前往芝加哥企图找到一份工作，却在面试之后惨遭拒绝，之后，一无所获的他回到了格林尼治村，继续回到曾经兼职的小酒馆打工。熟悉的场景，熟悉的音乐，熟悉的氛围，勒维恩经历了许多，却又好像什么都没有发生过。

With Glasnost and the end of communist rule, the West also learned of the (unsurprising) fact that there were serial killers in Russia too – the most notorious case probably that of Andrei Chikatilo, nicknamed the Rostov Ripper, or the Russian Hannibal Lecter. Based on these and many other sources, Kvataniya and screenwriter Olga Gorodetskaya constructed an immersive psychological puzzle, jumping back and forth in time, to reveal ever new-possible motives for the actions of all the protagonists. It all starts in 1990, when Detective Issa Davydov is celebrating his promotion and receives a call, reporting a crime that looks precisely like the ones of the serial killer that he famously captured some years before ...
