人到中年的李玉凤（张鹭 饰）事业有成，友饮并更名为凯西。她的三个老同学舒点点（罗旭 饰）、友饮安曼（徐扬 饰）、米小莉（李敏 饰）原本有着各自的工作，自到她家别墅聚会后，看着凯西舒适奢华的生活，心态发生了很大变化。回去后，舒点点辞工在家专心写作，一心想成为作家，安曼则搞起了家庭美容院，专赚富婆门的钱，米小莉在安曼和点点策划下佯装身患绝症，从而赢得丈夫大为（赵小川 饰）的疼爱。但现实与理想之间总有遥遥无期的距离，想当作家的点点投稿频频，却总不见“大作”发表，只好屈身做起保险推销。安曼到是从富婆那里赚了不少钱，但又将陷入后院起火的尴尬境地。装病的小莉又能隐瞒多久呢......
